The Tap Trail has gone international! Kulshan and Wander Brewing submitted beers to the Brussels Beer Challenge in Antwerp, Belgium. They flew their beer to Antwerp through the Brewers Association to be tasted. Fresh off their Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival, Wander Brewing decided to take on international competition at the auspicious Brussels Beer Competition in Antwerp, Belgium.
They were in stiff competition from some of the biggest and best breweries around. Not surprisingly, they did very well. Wander Brewing submitted their Global Mutt Baltic Porter and Boysenberry Fruit Puncheon and they took home a Silver for both. Kulshan Brewing also entered beer into the challenge and came away with two bronzes for their Red Cap and their Transporter Porter.
The competition covers 1,100 beers over two days of tasting by a panel of “75 world renowned beer connoisseurs.” This year it took place between November 5th – November 8th.
Congrats to both breweries, as well as Head Brewers, Chad Kuehl of Wander and Tom Eastwood of Kulshan. You’re making some of the best beers around and this competition proves it!
