The award winning Wander Brewing has been digging deep into the creative potential of its brewers and it’s Barrel Project. Since they announced the Barrel Project almost exactly a year ago, they’ve been crafting and churning out a number of fine offerings. Wander developed the Barrel Project, which comprises 2,000sqft and includes barrels of Bourbon, Rye Whiskey, Chardonnay, Cabernet and Syrah.
Wander Brewing opened up in May of 2014 and has added another amazing brewery to Bellingham’s growing list of craft beer excellence.
Today, 12pm, at the Brew Hall, they’ll be releasing their third offering in the series.
It will be gone soon! There are only 7 kegs of it. Draft only. 8.4% ABV Nearly 1lb of fruit per gallon of beer. – Chad Kuehl, Owner/Head Brewer, Wander Brewing
Here’s the full lineup of their Barrel Project
#1 Wild Warehouse Barrel-Aged Farmhouse Ale
They launched things off with the release of their Wild Warehouse Barrel-Aged Farmhouse Ale in April. The ale was aged 9 months in Chardonnay barrels.
#2 Barrel-Aged Imperial Global Mutt Baltic Porter
Following the successful release of the Wild Warehouse, Wander crafted something deeper and darker. The Barrel-Aged Imperial Global Mutt Baltic Porter. The brew was placed in Heaven Hill 12-year bourbon barrels for ten months.
#3 Boysenberry Fruit Puncheon
Today at 12pm, Wander launches it’s third offering in the Barrel Project. A Boysenberry Fruit Puncheon. Wander brewed this with 100 lbs of boysenberries from Schuh Farms in Mt. Vernon, aged on Anita Rustic Ale for 2 months in one of our 132 gallon wine puncheons!
