I won that beautiful Lowenbrau chalice when I was about 6 years old. Maybe younger. I was at a fair and threw a dime into a huge pyramid of glasses. I tried several times to get the dime in that exact glass and, finally, after many bounced out or missed altogether, I was rewarded!
I’ve drank beer out of this glass only a handful of times. But every time it’s memorable. I love the feel of the dimpled glass. It reminds me of that sound of dimes hitting glass.
